His Excellency, The Governor lays on the Table certain papers relating to P. C. Briarly, of one b. lo. no 958, 989 and 964 of 1873, and the Constables lately enlisted re: 619 of 1872. W in London from the Metropolitan Force- who had been brought before the Police Magistrate on charge of disobedience of orders and insubordination, and having been convicted had been fined. The details of the case relating to the Medical inspection... There was ample time before the day fixed for the Examination to request in a proper manner that the Regulation might be abolished, but they had apparently wilfully waited until the last moment and then in a most insubordinate manner positively declined to obey the orders.
